History of Institute for Psychic & Paranormal Research
 

Mystic Circle School for Psychic Development was established in May, 2002, by Laura Harris. With a Masters of Science degree from Michigan State University in Microbiology and Microbial Genetics, her passion for science carries over into her work as a psychic medium. She has spent years educating students both online and in person and bridging the gap between science and the paranormal. When the school started, initially it had only a few students who tried to meet every other week for meditations and psychic practice throughout the summer. In August, 2002, Mystic Circle School began its first series of online interactive courses. Classes included Spirit and Animal Communication, Psychokinesis, and Astral Projection. Due to the overwhelming interest in these online courses, in December, 2002, plans where put into action to open PsychicEducation.com.

PsychicEducation.com (PE.com) became an online reality on January 14, 2003. We now have over 5,000 registered users (May 31, 2004) with a 13% retention rate.  Currently, there are 7 faculty and staff members and 24 courses.  Scholarship and certificate programs are offered there as well.  To compliment the learning process, the Psychic Connection, located at PsychicEd.com, was created to allow the best student support services available.  Here is where you will find all the supplies, skill practice, chat and tutoring necessary to enhance your psychic ability and knowledge.

Institute for Psychic & Paranormal Research is committed to providing the best scientific based psychic education available.  On November 1, 2003, the name of Mystic Circle School was changed to the Institute for Psychic & Paranormal Research to adequately convey the true intent of the school.  At that time the PsychicEducation.com site was redesigned and new courses were added.  IPPR's long term goals also demonstrate our commitment to education excellence. It will be a place where students can learn from the top biochemical, parapsychology, psychology and other paranormal researchers. Our professionals will also continue to research psychic abilities and paranormal phenomenon for publication in various scientific literatures. IPPR, its principles, programs, and instruction are truly unique ideas among current educational facilities.
