The purpose of this FAQ is to provide students with a starting
point for understanding what psychokinesis is (or isn't) and what
you can expect to learn from the psychokinesis courses offered
here at IPPR. Further questions you may have on this topic that
are not covered here should be directed to Laura at
laura@psychiceducation.com.
Q: What is psychokinesis?
A: Psychokinesis is defined as the "movement of objects by
telepathy" (Oxford Dictionary.) This means moving objects with the
mind alone.
Q: Is psychokinesis real?
A: YES. You couldn't learn it if it were not real. People who've
manifested the ability have no reason to believe that it doesn't
exist either. Science doesn't have an exact explanation for a
number of things, but that does not prevent us from using or
believing that those things are real or work. Humans have used the
stars in the sky for navigation long before astronomers knew what
they were made of or how they formed. They have used plants for
their various healing properties long before physicians knew why
they worked. Continued discoveries in the scientific field teach
gives us new information every day. Though science has yet to be
able to explain psychic abilities, it is only a matter of time
before advances in science make that possible as well.
Q: Is what I've seen or heard about PK in movies, television shows
and stories about psychokinesis real?
A: NO. Portrayals of psychokinesis in fictional movies, television
shows and stories (and usually even in those that claim to be
"based on real-life events"), are enormously exaggerated for
entertainment value. Movies like "Carrie" based on the Steven King
book of the same name are an example of this hugely exaggerated
Hollywood portrayal of this ability. "Normal" manifestation of
psychokinesis is rarely spectacular because of the difficulty
involved in using it in a controlled manner, though most who have
witnessed or experienced psychokinetic manifestation have felt a
great thrill simply from being present during an occurrence.
Q: Can I really learn how to manifest psychokinesis? How long will
it take?
A: That depends entirely on you. Psychokinesis may take months or
even years to develop, and some may never develop it at all. Some
may have a great deal of success, while others may see only the
most minor manifestations. As with any other skill or talent such
as art, mathematics or foreign languages, some people have a
predisposition towards being more successful, but until you try to
develop it, and are sincere in your efforts, you will not know if
you are one of those people. You must be dedicated and patient.
Like any exercise routine, you must keep working to see results.
There are no shortcuts when it comes to psychic abilities.
Q: Will I learn to throw books, pencils or other objects through
the air?
A: NO. The purposes of this course are not for entertainment, but
to develop psychic abilities in a useful manner as part of a
well-rounded psychic curriculum. Immature party tricks or pranks
have no place here, and they will not be taught in any course
found at IPPR.
Q: Can you show me proof of psychokinesis?
A: NO. I won't come and do "tricks" for you, no matter how close
to me you might live, nor will I send you photos or videos of
myself or anyone else performing psychokinetic exercises. My own
psychokinetic ability has no determination on whether or not you
will be able to develop or believe in the existence of this skill,
and to be blunt, any media I could provide you with could
conceivably have been doctored, and as such is not acceptable
proof. If you are interested in seeing tangible proof, please feel
free to find your own validation through published research
studies online or in libraries.
Q: I am worried that I might accidentally hurt someone if I learn
psychokinesis. What should I do to avoid that?
A: The courses in the psychokinesis curriculum were created to
help you learn how to control your abilities as you learn them. In
essence, it is unlikely that your development will surge beyond
your ability to keep control over or direct and focus
manifestations. At most, you may have to deal with some minor or
nuisance events that you will learn to be able to control with
further practice as described in the lessons.
Q: Will I be expected to prove my abilities before I am allowed to
move on to the next course and learn more?
A: No. You will not be expected to show proof of your abilities
(or explain a lack of success) to move on in your studies. It is
hoped that you will have at least minor success in the courses for
your own validation, but you will not be penalized if that does
not happen.
